When it comes to tourism, you work with what you’ve got… and down in the San Luis Valley, they’ve got bats. So now you can take a short hike to see 250,000 Mexican free-tailed bats swoop out of a cave near Monte Vista. Now that’s using ALL of your resources. Around here, the only place to see bats is at county meetings.

Someone asked me recently where I bought my newsletter... Well, there are companies that sell a pre-written newsletter and lots of Realtors use them. But it should be obvious that this is not one of them. For one thing, commercial newsletter publishers wouldn’t touch anything called Rumor, Gossip and Innuendo. So maybe I should clean this one up and sell it as the McNewsletter… one screed fits all.

Guess everyone’s still investing in gold and tobacco for trade after the apocalypse.

Some people go rafting or hiking, but in Aspen they fly in for some recreational law practice, lately involving the failed Snowmass Base Village renovation. Two birds with one stone… change of scenery and change of venue… brilliant!
